Police - Joe believes that our Police Department must be defended, not defunded. Our police go to work everyday and night to protect our community. They have our backs, and we should have theirs.

Fiscal Responsibility - Joe believes that you have to spend only within your means. Every family in Clinton Township balances their checkbook by spending only what they can. Likewise government can't waste tax dollars, especially in election years. The township board must maintain fiscal responsibility.

Dog Rescue - Joe is an ambassador for the Macomb Humane Society. 

He encourages adoption when possible and favors recent bills passed by 

the legislature to prosecute animal abuse. These bills were passed

because of the death of a dog that was killed shortly after adoption from 

a local shelter. Joe has also started a local "Feast with Fido", a food truck

rally and adoption event to help local shelter dogs as well as bring some

fun to the community.

Water Quality - Joe is a proponent of keeping our Great Lakes clean, and 

cleaning up our "Great Lake": Lake St. Clair. Water Quality has suffered

for a variety of reasons. CFO's (Combined Sewer Overflows),

the introduction of Zebra and Quagga Mussels, and an old attitude of " the solution to pollution is dilution," have all contributed to lack of environmental quality. It won't be a quick change, but we can and must keep our water clean.

Roads - Act 51 is the law of land for road funding. This law channels all road funding dollars to the state. Whenever we pay gas tax, or registration fees those dollars go to Lansing. Those dollars then go to cities and counties, but never townships. To make matters worse, Lansing never sends adequate dollars back to our area because of Act 51s (passed in 1951) old and outdated formula. Joe has voted in favor of tightening our budget so that we can allocate other tax dollars to roads. It's not the best scenario, but we need to fix our roads however we can. If Lansing wont help us, we have to help ourselves.

2nd Amendment - Joe is a CPL holder and does not want laws to inhibit the 2nd amendment rights of law abiding citizens.

Abortion - Joe is proudly endorsed by Right to Life of Michigan.
