10k for Police
Clinton Township recently started a
K-9 program. Officer Bice and her handler have been doing great work. In order to cover some of the ancillary costs, Joe along with the Clinton Township Kiwanis created a fundraiser raising 10k. The easy answer was to use taxpayer money. But with a little extra work, private funds were used saving taxpayer dollars for other functions.
Roads
Roads have to improve. Townships receive $0 dollars for roads. What's more is they have no jurisdiction over roads (so all decisions must go through the County). Trustee Aragona knows that this is still a community problem, and has rolled up his sleeves to work with the County wherever possible to try and improve the quality of our roads here in Clinton Township.
Feast with Fido
"Feast with Fido" is a fun event that Trustee Aragona started in 2019. The goal was to create a fun quality of life event for residents. It also helped shelter dogs get adopted. "It's hard to say no to a shelter dog when they are staring at you," Aragona said. Look out for this event at Budd Park as it intends to become an annual event.
